Her er Tesla Model X – Dagbladet.no

Your side were full celebration as Elon Musk took the stage in a local near their headquarters in Freemont night.

Almost four years after he showed the concept car of the Model X for the first time got the first customers their cars at night.

Also present were invited guests, customers and the press. Many people have already placed large sums of money to put on a waiting list, and common to these is that they have not seen the finished product before tonight.

Much the same as the Model S

Model X is in many ways built on the same powertrain as the Model S, and many of the premises was thus a foregone conclusion.

We recognize the battery packs of Model S 70, 85 and 90D, and the engines are also the same. Thanks to larger volume and weight have Model X a touch poorer performance than the Model S, but only marginally, and still better than most competitors with a combustion engine.

Also the platform is by and large the same.

Test: Budget version of the Model S

Exciting doors

There was naturally great excitement around the rear doors, like the concept car is shaped like gullwing doors. These Elon promised would consist, which they have done.

He also demonstrated how little space they take sideways to unfold, and impressively takes the actually less space than sliding doors, which sits on some competing models.

Both front and rear side doors are electrically operated, and you do not actually take in some of the doors to close the up and left. Unfortunately piper they a lot while working, which we hope it will be possible to switch off. The rear doors have sensors that senses how high it is under the roof and adjust themselves in relation to it.

We also hope the doors will work well in practice on snøfyllte hiking and in severe cold.

Protects against chemical weapons

For that passengers should be as well protected against other “dirty” motorists, Tesla installed an air filter which they say is ten times as big and good as with typical competitors. According to Elon Musk makes this filter an 800 times better job than normal for the smallest particles, and 300 times better for the biggest.

This will even be so good that the car has got a button that prevents biochemical substances to get into the car, if you are exposed to that kind. Press “Biodefence button”, and you are sure.

This was of course launched with a smile.

Inside you will find also a stereo system with 17 speakers and a total of 560 Watts amplifier.

Inside new

row two are otherwise electrified and runs on rails so that it becomes easy to get in and out of the third row of seats in the back. Elon Musk is a man with five children, so he knows well to challenges.

The view must not, however, stand on. The windshield goes high over the heads of those sitting in the forward seats, giving a good overview. This created some challenges in relation to the sun visor, now located along a pillar when not in use. How this works in combination with the airbags is not known.

Some details remain

Some of those who saw the car alive still believes Tesla has a lot to go on in relation to the details and the final finish. Some have even cited poor ergonomics as an objection.

-They are guaranteed the most advanced sun visor in the industry, told Musk.

Musk also admitted that details they have put much effort into solving perhaps could have been omitted, but once they are made, so customers will be able to enjoy it.

hitch and bike rack

Also new is that the car as the first real electric car has received towbar. In addition, it comes with a new bike and ski festival for up to four cycles, or six pairs of skis fastened with a clip of five seconds behind the car. Still, you can open and close the tailgate.

After the launch was over it was time to hand out cars for the first five customers.

Elon Musk took customers with star commentary “Hey, what’s up, man?”.

What other CEO in automotive could well be found to do the same?
