Recent reports from The Wall Street Journal reports that Google plans to merge Chrome OS and Android.

Android has been much more popular operating system than Chrome OS, but it will require major changes to get the former to work on desktop and laptop PCs and then is probably the best to the two OS’s. In addition to Google Play Store up and running.
The combination will remind very much about Microsoft’s commitment to Windows 10, where they have an operating system for PC and smart phone.
