Smart clock starts slowly but surely increasing in popularity among consumers, but have yet to take off.

BLOCKS is a module clock that was posted on the people funding website Kickstarter earlier today, and already has blown past the target of 250 000 US dollars, 2 million kroner. Overall, the campaign has collected 511,520 dollars, 4.14 million respectively.

What’s so special BLOCKS is that it consists of interchangeable modules, including finger sensor, NFC payment, camera, spare battery and heart rate monitor, which can be easily swapped out and customized based on usage.

Smart Clock is compatible with both iOS and Android (the company states that it is possible they do it is compatible with Windows Phone), and BLOCKS writes that they cooperate with several large manufacturers, including Qualcomm and Compal, in the development of the modular smart clock –

The most affordable BLOCKS clock starts at $ 195, roughly 1500 crowns, and comes with the main unit and a standard strap. Modules can be purchased later.
