Apple ordered to pay 1.9 billion – Adresseavisen

The court came earlier this week concluded that Apples A7 chip, which controls a number of models of both Iphone and Ipad, contained technology that the company had patents or right to use. The technology was developed by four scientists at the University of Wisconsin who had invented the technology in question, and a research foundation affiliated with the university sued the IT giant.

A spokesman for Apple said the company plans to appeal the verdict. The company’s lawyers have not wanted to comment on the court decision.
