Your page Last night Norwegian time Microsoft showed off the next version of Windows, as many pre assumed would be called Windows 9
It does not – the next version of Windows will be a public release for PCs, tablets, mobile phones and game consoles (Xbox One), and it is such a big change that Microsoft has chosen to jump an extra notch and baptized the next version of Windows 10.
In other words disappearing Windows Phone as a separate operating system when Windows 10 launched in summer 2015.
“Preview” already
During the day today, the first sniktitt- version that can be downloaded from this page. We will, of course, to throw us over it as soon as it becomes available and focuses on a review of the news in the near future.

OLD CALL: Start Menu will return in the next Windows release.
This is new
A few weeks ago we wrote about a video of an early version, which seems to voice well with reality. Perhaps the biggest change is that the start button is back, but it is now extended with Metro tiles; as a sort of hybrid between Windows 7 and Windows 8
Microsoft recognizes that many have chosen not to upgrade to Windows 8 and therefore focuses on the Windows 7 users should feel good again, and the functionality of Windows 8 will be continued. Metro apps, which as of now run in a separate “environment” will be run as normal application windows on your desktop.

METRO ON DESKTOP: Metro apps may soon run as regular applications, and not in a separate environment.
Virtual desktops
OS X and Linux users have long had the opportunity to work with multiple desktops, and this opportunity now see the light of day in Windows. Just as OSX ‘”Exposé” feature, it will also be possible to press a button (“task view”) to see all open windows in miniature, so that it is easier to get an overview of the application windows you have opening. Then you can also drag and drop different windows between different desktops.
It will also be easier to use Windows hybrid machines (for example, the Surface 3 Pro), where the operating system, for example, will react when you unplug the keyboard / mouse and switch to a more touch-friendly user interface with large buttons and icons.
Microsoft also focus on business users in this update, where the operating system among others will be able to separate your personal and business data.
Here’s a video from Microsoft:
