Wednesday 17 September, could users of the iPhone, iPad and iPod download and install the new extension of Apple’s operating system iOS 8
This is the biggest upgrade iOS since its launch. In it is the first and foremost that Apple loosen the grip and gives developers access to allow apps to borrow tools, functions and services of another. It’s called extensibility.
How good extensibility becomes, is now dependent apputviklerne, but we expect that it will change the way we use apps. What is clear after installing iOS 8 on an iPhone 5S is that opportunity does not currently pose the greatest differences.
After half a day with the new operating system, there are still some functions we immediately appreciate.
1. WHAT USE BATTERY?
Battery life on the iPhone is notoriously lousy, a phone in active use keeps often out one day.
In iOS 8, you can now see which apps use the most battery in the last day.
Battery Use hangs naturally with the apps you use most often. On the right we see that Google’s Chrome browser tops the list, but it does not necessarily mean that the browser sucks disadvantageous much power, just that I use it much.

2 . CALLS ON IPAD
Continuity is another term Apple has launched together with iOS 8 It is about connecting everything in the Apple universe together and make use as seamless as possible .
After updating both the iPhone and iPad, and logged in with the same Apple ID, work one thing immediately: Incoming calls from mobile phones appear on your tablet.
It requires that both devices are on the same network. Similarly, you can make calls from your iPad too. The same functionality works on a Mac operating system OS X Yosemite.
3. Dictation
Speech recognition in OS 8 is simply optimal. To dictate an email or message, is fascinating painless. The phone understands almost everything I say, so long as I speak clearly and use fine-understand words. Thick dialect we believe is a challenge for all technology.
4. MESSAGES
Speaking dictation, the entire messaging system with small voice and video messaging works just as good as one would hope. Do not know how much I’ll use it, but I like it nonetheless.
5. TO WRITE MAILER
Apple’s mail application in iOS 8 has received numerous improvements and control possibilities, but one thing is especially welcome. When writing an email, you can “add” email at the bottom of the screen if you want skjekke something in another mail.
Earlier one had to cancel the e-mail, and possibly save it as a draft to make the same operation.
6. EDITING IMAGES
Bildeappen is updated with a variety of options to adjust the pictures you take, not unlike what one has from iPhoto on a Mac. Overall, during the three main categories of “Light”, “Color” and “Black and White” can adjust the exposure, contrast, black point, saturation, color cast, intensity and so on. High control but also an Inherent time thief.
7. NEWLY DELETED
The album bildeappen, it now appeared a menu item called “Recently Deleted”. This is a kind of purgatory for photos, where they wait for the final destruction in 30 days. With kids in the house or if one would be unfortunate, this is a good place to look for missing images.
8. APPVEKSLEREN
When you pick up appveksleren in iOS 8 by double clicking the home button, you get as usual the active applications. But over again, you now have a shortcut to the most recently used contacts and contacts on your favorite buddy list.
When you see how much power goes to the home screen in the course of a day, this is not only convenient, it can also be useful.
BUT WHERE IS IT BEEN OFF ..
Ahead of iOS-8 release, the iCloud Drive one of the things that were written about, but after installing iOS 8 it is clear that the service is only partially deployed.
On icloud.com you can upload and download the files you want from such a computer, but the files is not left on your iPhone, iPad or iPod – Apple claimed as one could.
Nor have we gotten handoff functionality, where you can start an email on your Mac and finish it on your iPhone, to work.
So what happened? Well, it turns out that there are a few things that were not quite ready for primetime. iCloud Drive and handoff will not work as advertised when OS X Yosemite released sometime in October, says Apple to Page3.
cloud service works from apps, ie changes in the pages documents are synchronized to the other i-gadgets, but one can thus look them up in a traditional folder structure on icloud .com.
Just discovered bug in Apple iCloud Photo Archive and the app “Health” before iOS eight roll-out, and have disabled the functionality associated with them. Health-app works but not yet retrieves information from tredjepartsapper – which strictly speaking makes the whole thing a bit pointless.
In other words, time for some updates in iOS 8 to come …
