OS X Yosemite straks klar – digi.no

It appears that Apple’s new operating system, Yosemite, beginning to be quite ready for primetime.

Apple has in fact just released a “golden master” version of OS X Yosemite, a version which is quite identical to the version consumers will be able to download when it is rolled out to everyone. This golden master edition is intended for developers, and can be downloaded via the App Store and developer channel.

Beta Testers who are not in the developer channel can also try this as well as the finished version – Apple also released an update to beta test (number four in the series), which is almost equal to the version number that golden master.

There is still some chance that this issue requires further update, but there is no doubt that the launch approaches .

It is also worth noting that the golden master and the new beta version includes a fix for the “Shell Shock” -sikkerhetshullet. The same fix was rolled out to OS X Mavericks, Mountain Lion and Lion recently.

Apple has also asked developers of applications to submit the Yosemite custom applications to the Mac App Store. The programming language Swift is now fully developed and apps developed with it can now also be approved by Apple.

Yosemite has no definitive release date but it is expected that Apple will host a press conference in October where both this shall be announced and new iPad models on display (in addition to perhaps new Macs).
