Standing on the platform while everyone else is running trains.

Apple Launches in the old days was almost like religious hallelujah meetings.
Hallelujah Oslo
In Oslo, gathered at the club Månefisken (and later in Vallhall) stood before the bearded hipsters-speckled with raised beer glasses and drool at the mouth.
When Steve Jobs came on stage via a big screen and satellite were jubilant, and every Megaherz in increased performance elicited high, orgasm-like “ooooh!” and “aaaah!”.
Something other
We’re talking late 90′s / early 2000′s here, so it’s starting to be some years ago. But fast forward to 9 September 2014.
Yesterday’s launch was something else entirely.
No charisma
Tim Cook will never be anything else than dytkig business leader. He stands at least not outwardly as some Jobs-like half-mad visionary, and he has no charisma that is likely to cause excitement.
The same applies to his collaborators. They are undoubtedly talented, but they have not the roar of his who once got Apple (illusory or not) to mimic a philosophy of life more than a technology company.
Junior equal competitors
Yesterday was the soaking like Microsoft, Samsung, LG and all the others out there.
Samsung boss stotrete Korean-English idea sounds quaint in comparison to Apple’s mistake with choppy (and to some extent non-existent) video transmission with involuntary Japanese dubbing.
Do not slept for hours
products we will not yet say much about. For all we know, the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Appel Watch groundbreaking and fantastic to use.
But there is much else that is. Competitors like Sony, HTC and Samsung have not slept in hours. They have used his billions genuine innovation, and presented at this year’s IFA trade show in Berlin (where Apple’s arrogance as usual conspicuous by its absence) products that were both exciting and gorgeous.
Lite new
Apple had really big again to come by yesterday. NFC there are several phones that have and camera technology with the others have for many years been ahead of iPhone. iPhone 6 will take back their lead, but not more.
Apple people may rejoice in the increased screen size as much as they want, but here is a fact that all the others have had such monitors (sometimes with better specifications) long. Simply because customers demand it.
Coming after
To me it seems that Apple has only given up, just as they had to give up then when the pressures of users was too large, despite Apple doctrine never to introduce right-click Mac mouse.
Smart Watches were also no shortage of Berlin, and Samsung showed off its first Gear model already in autumn and this year included both LG, Motorola and Sony for Android Wear models.
stool not train
Apple Watch is very fitness and health oriented. But this comes the words when every other workout junkie in the world goes round with similar technology on the wrist.
Apple has been late out before, and they are rarely very first. But this time, we wonder if they do not stand on the platform while everyone else is running trains.
