Brighter, sharper and ten times more expensive.

3D film was the next big thing in the early 1950s.
Strong interest
After some initial rounds in the mid-200′s digital technology made a comeback in 2009, with braksusessen Avatar.
Since it has gone down. Novelty wears off, and the latest figures from Hollywood shows that people choose any 2D version in theaters, though the 3D version is in the audience next.
New attempt
same trend we see on Blu-ray: 3D versions sell next not, while the 2D versions go away. And the movie services like Netflix is 3D completely absent, and no one seems to complain about it.
Now, Hollywood make a new kind of 3D.
Brighter and brighter
They hope new laser technology will make the experience better.
First and foremost is the question of brighter and clearer images. For one of the criticisms of today’s 3D is that the pictures are dark and blurry.
No polarization
A new projection system from the British company Christie promises the same brightness as the 2D version .
The new system uses two projectors that send multiple separate images at the same time so that both versions to be lighter before being separated by a new type of glasses. This is to prevent flicker.
Instead of using polarization to separate the images, use the lasers that emit light at different wavelengths to create each color.
10 times more expensive
But the question is still how many cinemas that will really invest in it, especially after they have paid an exorbitant amount for the 3D equipment they already have.
Christie projector costing 10 times more than the current best 2D projectors for cinema use.
