In particular, one thing during last week’s iPhone 6 launch that got many Apple fans to rejoice: Finally going mobile in larger screen sizes.
For Android and Windows Phone users, it seems strange that something as small as a larger screen should be enough to keep your interest for iPhone alive, but that’s it apparently.
We dare say that Apple still has a small advantage in terms of usability and range of applications. Bigger screen is enough that users have wanted more than anything else.
Yet there are still a number of things you get on Android phones that you can look far for the iPhone – even for new iOS 8 is rolled out.
Below we have selected six of the biggest disadvantages of choosing Apple mobile.
1 Animals storage space, no space for memory cards
Most Android phones have support for microSD cards, but it is not on any of the iPhone models. Neither the new coming soon on sale. Not only can accommodate memory cards be convenient for for transmission and storage of images, it is also far less expensive than buying additional storage on the phone itself.
New iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is now 128 GB versions (previously 64 GB maximum). However, you must pay the full $ 900 more for the biggest iPhone 6 release compared to the one that has 64 GB of storage. A microSD card of 64GB cost comparison, just over 400 million.
2 Do not full NFC
With great fanfare Apple could proudly introduce its NFC-based payment solution Apple Pay at the launch earlier this month. This can probably get some banks and payment services to tremble slightly, due to Apple’s global reach and loyal customer base.

NFC, however, is a wireless technology that can be used for much more than just payment, but the other features you can not currently on an iPhone, ifølgeCult of Mac. For example, to connect to the audio system via NFC, or use apps with NFC chips. Nor gadgets a la NFC-ring supported by iPhone 6.
3 Boring home screen
Certainly all iPhone users have row upon row of apps on the home screen’s. It has Apple decided. The idea is for sure that the layout makes it easy and efficient to navigate, or something like that, with my god so boring! The new and larger models can hold a row with extra apps, and with 20 pieces on the home screen can come to look rather messy.

As Android user is given the option to add up the home screen just as you wish. Then you can for example have the 5-6 apps you use most on the first page – lined the way you want them – and dispensing the other on the following pages.
In addition, you can spice up your home screen with widgets – custom mini-apps. Not least, you can hide away apps you rarely use the list of programs, and not display them on the home screen at all. The iPhone is the solution to dump the little-used apps in hidden folders.
4 Fast Lock for Apple
Apple has famously own cables for its products. This means that you must use a so-called Lightning cable for charging via USB, while all other manufacturers use micro-USB. If you connect an iPhone to the Smart Your TV with cable, you need a special HDMI adapter, and so on.

Apple’s proprietary solutions are helping locking you to this particular manufacturer, making it cumbersome to switch to something else. For new Apple users can also be very expensive to buy spare charger, car charger, and various transitions.
As Android user, you can however use the same micro-USB cable on a Samsung mobile phone, an LG mobile, Sony mobile, an HTC Mobile, Asus Mobile, ZTE Mobile or Huawei mobile. Or a Nokia mobile phone for that matter, if you prefer Windows Phone over Android.
Otherwise you can pick and choose from mobiles with different design if you choose Android. These phones you also get several price ranges, while all Apple phones that are on sale are relatively expensive.
5 No multitasking
Now that the iPhone 6 – and perhaps especially the iPhone 6 Plus – larger displays will probably more Apple users get to see the need to have multiple apps open at the same time. It can namely on Android. But it is not Apple customers the opportunity this time.

With support multitasking, you can for example see YouTube clips and write messages simultaneously, or quickly copy the content from one app to another. Instead, you must on the iPhone still double click the home button to switch between apps you up, even after iOS 8 update.
6 Restricted apps
We wrote in the introduction that Apple still has a small advantage over Android when it comes to variety of apps. Conversely, app developers much more leeway on the Android platform than iOS platform. This means for example that you can get apps 1881 to look up the number automatically when it rings, or applications can be integrated in other ways with the interface.

Moreover, Android users the option to disable or delete the preloaded apps. In some cases, however, requires that you “root” your phone. As iPhone user you need to hide away apps Stocks, Weather, Compass and Newsstand in a folder on the home screen if you do not use them.
Not least get that Android user freedom of choice to choose exactly which apps you want to use as default: Browser, video playback, the messaging, call the app and so on.
Apples and bananas
Many people have strong opinions about what is “best” of Android and iOS / iPhone. Our Tek.no colleague Varg Aamo for example, was not particularly impressed with what Apple had to offer under its previous launch.
We believe, however, that larger screen and a few other tweaks on the iPhone 6 and iOS 8, will be enough to satisfy those who already enjoy the Apple universe. The six points we have chosen in this case would probably be too many “nice to have” features over which they “must have.”
