OnHub is Google’s first routes – Dagbladet.no

Should be easy to use

It may seem as if Google has had a strong focus on making it easy to manage this router.

For example, use audio signals from the router to communicate with the app on your phone, which in turn is used to set up and manage the router. And instead of 5-6 flashing lights, the device has only an annular LED lamp that can light in four different colors.

Supports 128 wireless devices

According to the product page supports OnHub 128-connected devices, and there is also a LAN port (but only one) if you rather prefer wired network.

Via the app, you can also check your speed and see which devices are connected and how much bandwidth they occupy. During setup, you can also select which units should be prioritized, and all this can be done even if you are not physically near the router.

A welcome feature is that the router will always make sure to update their software to last version and it will happen without interrupting the network connection.

Launching August 31

OnHub launched on August 31 in the US and is available for pre-order for $ 199 (about 1,650 Norwegian kroner) in several US online retailers, like Amazon, Walmart and Google’s online store.

In the Norwegian version of Google’s online store, it is not possible to pre-book, but with so much information in Norwegian, it is natural to assume that it will emerge also here to country.
