Your page This fall is the tradition set for another major Android launch. Now Google has revealed that the official name of the new Android version is Android Marshmallow, which then takes over for Lollipop.
And the version number is 6.0, which then can be considered a relatively large upgrade.
Earlier this summer we asked DinSide readers about M would stand for, and readers were right – Marshmallow was the most popular answer choice by 30 percent of the vote, ahead of Milkshake by 21 percent.

Besides the two first versions, alpha and beta, Google has had for tradition to baptize new Android versions after desserts and sweets.

ASK WHEN THEY NEED: Instead of having to accept a bunch of app permissions when you download them, you are in Android M asked when the app needs it.

Android M will incidentally also support charging devices via the new standard USB Type C. According to Google it will city three times as fast charging than before, and you will also be able to charge other devices other way again, that from your mobile or tablet.
The operating system will also have built-in support for fingerprint authentication so that such sensors can be used instead of passwords to authenticate app purchases and more.
But when you get?
Unlike iOS, where new version can be downloaded by anyone immediately after it is released, it is not as silky with Android.
