San Francisco (ITavisen Facebooks “Chief Technology Officer” Mike Schroepfer revealed precisely that company builds giant drones to deliver the Internet to more.

Do much behind the scenes
That Facebook is more than lynmedinger, smily and status updates, we got seriously confirmed yesterday.

As if Internet of Things, VR and new shopping experiences are enough (and the fact that Messenger was suddenly very Facebooks main app yesterday), the company is building huge drones that will serve Internet over our heads.

It is not surprising that this is a theme here in the States. We notice personally every next day how unstable LTE connection is.

Even Facebook can deliver a stable network connection on their own booth.

Make much backend
Facebook is a bit of an operating partner too, with its own built server equipment, giant server farms (Open Compute Project) and React (which from today is open source), a JavaScript library for creating user interfaces. React is already used by companies Reddit, Netflix and AirBNB.

HHVM is another Facebook technology (a virtual machine to execute code written in Hack and PHP), also open source, used by, among other Wikipedia.

Artificial Intelligence
Facebook is great because it is used by so many to so much – therefore they can analyze what hundreds of millions of people make on their network every second throughout the year.

The problem is that we humans have need to sleep, and even Reddit-ers need to connect with other than cat pictures, the problem is that the content on the Internet is increasing in a violent pace.

Therefore jobs Facebook to develop what they believe is the next generation -a artificial intelligence so their servers know what served to you, when and context of the images in relation to what you are doing.

They spoke relatively superficial about this project, so we’ll probably hear something more concrete for a while, but we can be confident that they are experimenting with what we see already.

Improved artificial intelligence will be able to do the job faster and more accurately in the future.
