San Francisco (ITavisen VR is the future, it is absolutely true. We are saved. The best part is that VR is much closer than we dared to hope for.
– More, more, more ..!
It is long queue to test Oculus its latest prototype “Crescent Bay” (first introduced in January this year) on Facebooks F8 booth. Now we understand why.
We did not enter the demo room with other Anticipating than that this would surely be a more impressive experience than Samsung Gear VR – we were wrong: There are so amazing much rawer.
Right after the demo in minutes was finished (we have no idea how long we tested, only that it was not long enough), we were left with the delicious bubbling feeling one gets when one has experienced something you know going to turn the entire industry, yes our lives, on the head.
True vertigo
When we stood on top of a skyscraper in a city of the future, we were dizzy on the way only true heights can evoke. The palm was our dank, and we dared simply step over the edge when we stood on a mat registered our position in the virtual world. The illusion is complete.
When T-Rexen comes dunrende against you, stop right in front of you and sniffs and then stroll over your head, we are not afraid, just very, very impressed.
creativity will flourish in Hollywood
It does not help with all sorts of technological advances if not the content is there in a way that makes you want to spend many hours with headset on – wow factor comes to disappear with time and moments.
Therefore, they are extra nice to note that among boys’ tough explosions and war in familiar style, was also room for some creative and Pixar clever demos revealed for how important is soundstage.
For the user should not miss content, use one sound to attract attention in the right direction.
The film’s death?
The latest Unreal Engine demo was definitely the best.

But when this becomes interactive ?

It requires a lot of force to pull this around, hence the Nvidia also new Titan X cards made partly in order to deliver denn VR experience at home. About a couple of years is the power this card to 10 000 possible in short to a few thousand patches.
The question is: Will this remain great non-playable demos for several years, or will we be able to play something that is near mini-demos-one we experienced in one year?
We do not answer yet. We only know that this is something we look forward to more than anything else.
