After yesterday’s press conference it dawned on me how impossible Apple has done it for their customers this time – and that again only those who win it.

Apple pushes the industry in the right direction, but …
not read the first paragraph negative in the sense that I do not begrudge a company that makes products people want success.

What I mean is that they no longer have a people machine, a rounder, with basic good specifications, but that is not necessarily thin as a human hair and costs over 12 000.

Just as in January 2008
problem as I see it is that the new MacBook is that the first Air model to the company. Many compromises wrapped in design enjoyment.

That led to oh-ing, ah-ing and gasping. Not only because everyone thought they would miss the DVD player (some probably added it), but because the machine was also horrible animals.

The agony
Apple has a far better product portfolio in 2015, but each of them has its obvious weaknesses.

That’s MacBook situation for Apple announced early in 2015:

* MacBook Air : Great machine with very good battery life, a nice design and good trackpad, but it has far from a good enough screen. No one who has tested a MacBook Pro Retina bear to return to Air their dismal 1366 x 768 (11 “) and 1440 x 900 (13″). It’s like going from iPhone 4 to 3.

* MacBook Pro : A faster machine with a very beautiful panel unlike Air, but it costs a few thousand kroner more, and weighs in excess much for many on the move. Moreover, the fatter.

* MacBook : Missing SD card reader, HDMI and full size USB. Moreover, it has a much weaker Intel Core M CPU and costs from 12,590 kroner in Norway with 128GB storage. Plus for an incredible beautiful design, new touchpad and a dashing display, but it is not complete.

Where Air with Retina?
It’s so fiery obvious that there must be a MacBook Air with Retina display, but when?

Apple forces you to choose performance and good screen, but with more weight, an expensive machine with good display but poorer performance, or Air which had been perfect with Retina panel, but who lack just that.
