Microsoft Terry Myerson created almost an online sensation when he yesterday said that the pirates get Windows 10 free.

Can upgrade but are not validated

When it comes to pirates explains Microsoft that “although non-geniune PC can upgrade to Windows 10, so are not the status upgraded from non-geniune to genuine,” and points out that such versions are not supported by Microsoft and that according to industry experts is an issue to use such versions as there are greater opportunities for getting malware or being robbed sensitive information.
