To avoid that someone can see if you have read the email they sent you – Dagbladet.no

Your page For many companies e-mail is the preferred sending out offer, but many of them also have attached a small tracking mechanism, which allows them to see who opened your email and when they did it.

Baker into invisible image

This is usually done by sending baker in a reference to an “invisible” image in the email, which is only one pixel wide. Picture Fila is really a place online and often have a unique URL for each recipient.

Since most email programs automatically displays images in the email (at least that is smaller than a certain size), the shipper track whether the image has been accessed and thus if you have opened the e-mail they sent. There they can use to determine when it pays to send out emails, what kind of deals you are interested in, or for example call you shortly afterwards.

Links in the email routed often via another server first, so that the sender also can track whether you clicked on the link or not.

A simple solution is Pixel Block, which works if you use Chrome browser and Gmail email service.

It recognizes a number of “pixels” and popping one of them in an email, the not loaded. On top of email you get a red icon indicates that the sender was trying to track, but that Pixel Block has blocked pixel.

Another variant which has just been released is Ugly Mail. Here scanned your inbox before you open the email, so that emails with tracking are marked with an eye. Our little test shows that the sufficient need some time to get better, because it did not know so many tracking services yet.

Universal trick: Do not show pictures

If you set up email service or application so it never displays images unless you explicitly ask for it, you could also stop this form of tracking.

Here, the method will be different from each service and each application, but probably you will find anything about it in the settings. Moreover, it is worth noting that by viewing the images in the email also shows tracking nail selenium.
