This GTX 1070 card seals the gap up to GTX 1080 – Tek.no

It has just been revealed that among others MSI (and Asus) sets the graphics card to the press and reporters so that they provide extra well “out of the box.” Instead of starting in the “Game Mode”, which is the mode that is enabled by default when you buy MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X in store, reviewer copies set to slightly more powerful “OC Mode” by default.

Our reviewer copy of the MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X proved after a check also being set up to use the “OC Mode” out of the box. In this mode the core and boost the rate about 20 to 30 MHz higher than the “Gaming Mode”. We did a couple of tests of performance difference between these modes and found that there was talk of up 0.5 percent. Therefore, we tested no card again in Game Mode.

Tech PowerUp speculate about the høyereytende mode preprogrammed into Reviewers test specimens to save us time. Via software, both we and consumers install MSIs own Gaming App, which allows you to toggle between including Gaming Mode and OC Mode. Reviewers takes care nonetheless rarely trouble to install additional software.

We are waiting for a separate explanation for the practice of MSI and will update the issue once we hear from the company.

Many of you read our test of Nvidia’s GTX 1070 Founders Edition for just over a week ago, only to face a last page without character.

we already knew well to Nvidia’s GTX 1070 Founders Editions performance. What we do not know yet is whether MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X ‘design and components actually provide increased performance in practice or whether this in this case is of such importance that Gaming X is worth the approximately 300 extra buck compared to Nvidia’ FE “.
