Tesla is way down at 17th place in the registration statistics for OFV AS, with 957 registrations so far this year (as of May). It is down 55 per cent from the same time last year. Tesla is thus behind both Opel, Suzuki and Renault, but right in front of Hyundai and Honda.
Model S is YTD 14th place, just behind Skoda Superb. The median Model S 5th in calendar years 2014 and 2015.
The reason for the slide in the statistics course, that “all” waiting SUV Model X and 4×4 effect for Model S was taken out last year.
Model X problems
the big question is of course when the Model X will apply to Norway. Previously it has been indicated that the car come to Norway this summer, but so far we have not yet verified this from Tesla range.
Already before Christmas, the first Model X handed out in the US, which showed to be too early. It has in fact been some teething problems associated with the electric SUV.
At the AGM in Tesla Tuesday admitted Tesla CEO Elon Musk that Model X program has been challenging, writes Brooke Crothers in a Forbes article . Musk took the criticism that it was ever put too much technology into the car at once. Rather should they waited some features to future Model X.
It is especially software that has governed falcon doors that have been problematic. According to Musk, it has been very difficult to get the many sensors to function correctly. However, he believes that the new software finally works and think it will get a new software update soon.
Musk says that if you are considering purchasing the Model X now or soon, one will love the doors, then the software will act as properly.
