The electricity bill has well most relate to. But how much does it really cost to keep refrigerators, heat pumps and washing machines going. Not to talk about the mobile phone, life companion our who would have charged both once and twice a day.
That was the question Statnett asked current customers on a survey: How much does it cost to recharge a smartphone two hours day for one year?

The American software company opower have measured one full charge of Iphone 6 to 10.5 watt hours, or 3.8 kilowatt hours a year if you charge an empty battery fully up once a day. The Norwegian electricity prices will be an annual expenditure of just over three million.
For an Iphone 6s will corresponding charging frequency cost around five million years.
– Some may not reflect how much power a mobile phone user, but I would think that more people will be surprised at how small charge in question, says Nina Yong Kviberg, communication and social policy manager at Statnett, in a press release.
