The self-proclaimed “Spam King,” whose real name is Sanford Wallace, received the sentence after sending off 27 million messages with spam to people on Facebook.

his sentence of 30 months in prison and a fine of 310,000 dollars, nearly 2.6 million kroner, after he pleaded guilty to fraud and other related activities.
it was in the period 2008-2009 that the Las Vegas resident who sent messages to people on Facebook who chained to malicious websites who stole login information to users. Wallace also sent links to other sites that he himself owned and earned money when people visited them.
During that period he had access to nearly 500,000 Facebook accounts with sensitive information and access to friends lists.
Spam by fax
This is not the first case of fraud attempts from Wallace. Back in 1991 he sent a wave of spam through (telecommunications) fax and he has been sued by companies like Facebook, AOL and MySpace.
