Now you can order the first keyboard that is connected to the cloud – Take.en

In the summer reported we about what probably is the world’s first keyboard that is connected to the cloud, namely 5Q, developed by the american company Das Keyboard. On the company’s website, the keypad is now finally posted for pre-order.

the Keyboard has a us price of 229 dollars, about 2000 dollars, but it is yet unclear exactly what the Norwegian price is going to be.

Das Keyboard 5Q started on finansieringsnettstedet Kickstarter, where it ended up collecting around 580 000 dollars, which was almost six times as much as the original finansieringsmålet. It is, in other words, it’s a popular product.

Bi-directional

the Idea behind the concept is that the keyboard not only to function as an “input”device, but should also be able to communicate with the user. In more concrete terms, this means that the keyboard is equipped with lights on the single key that can be controlled over the Internet.

These lights to communicate various types of information to the user, based on the color and which keys light up and the meaning is that users should be able to program this yourself.

For example, can certain keys be programmed to give you notifications for e-mails or other types of incoming messages, or give you information about weather, stock prices, CPU-usage, new bids at an online auction you are participating in and many other things.

Should give more efficiency

According to the manufacturer’s advantage to communicate via the keyboard that you don’t have to being distracted by, for example, mobile phones and rucksacks browser tabs. Instead, popping the information up in the users ‘ natural field of view, so that one does not need to direct your attention elsewhere, which again should lead to better efficiency.
