Nokia steps up patentkampen against Apple – ITavisen.en

Adds additional patents in the lawsuit.

Wednesday this week, we wrote that Nokia had aimed a patentrelatert lawsuit against Apple.

At the time it was the 32 patents in two countries, and the finns stated that they would like to add additional patents. Now it has increased to 40 patents in eleven countries.

Behind the lawsuit is a disagreement between the two companies around the lisensieringsavgifter for the use of Nokia technology. Nokia claims that Apple has rejected recent offers of licensing of other patents that are used in many of the company products, after having approved an agreement in 2011.

on Tuesday this week, the defendant Apple companies Acacia Research Corp. and Conversant Intellectual Property Management Inc. The company accuses them of cooperating with Nokia to push out revenue from Apple on an unreasonable way.
