Norway’s last tidsvitne is dead – VG

Sent to Auschwitz as a 19-year-old

In 1942, when Knudsen was 19 years old, he was taken by German soldiers on the Swedish border. He was sent to Auschwitz, and later to Sachsenhausen, Birkenau, Buchenwald and Majdanek.

He ousted experiences from the time in the concentration camps for many years after the war, however, broke the silence in 1995. When he was with that tidsvitne approximately four times a year in Foundation White Bussers tours to the former concentration camps in Poland and Germany.
