the Case is updated.
Singsaas has today sent his resignation to the Consistory with a copy to the ministry.
the Bishop has previously oriented the Nidaros bispedømmeråd, proster, and priests of the diocese as well as the staff of bispedømmekontoret that he now goes off for a well earned rating.
Avgangsdatoen officially is 1. september 2017, but due to the holidays and other will the time of departure, in practice, be the beginning of July, writes the Nidaros diocese in a press release.
“Happy people – happy in Jesus Christ.”
In the avskjedsbrevet to the Consistory writes the bishop, among other things:
“I will leave-taking have done service in the Nidaros diocese in less than 40 years. My desire has been to be close to where people live and work in the Nidaros diocese. Here I listen to, with my life and my service. My election slogans has been; “Love people, – happy in Jesus Christ.”
In Trøndelag is “christianity easier said than done”. Here is great love for the church and congregation that run deep, and that appear on many show, often indirect, and not necessarily with words, but with credible actions.
The biggest event of the great war, meaning in my time as the Nidaros bishop is undoubtedly the creation of Presesembetet for Bispemøtet in 2011. It has been particularly important and gratifying for me that presesembetet was added to the Nidaros cathedral/archbishop’s palace and Nidaros diocese.
It (also has) been particularly meaningful to work with issues related to the south sami population, from Saltfjellet in the north to Elgå in the south, as the bishop in Nidaros has a tilsynsansvar for. The creation of “the Sami congregation in the south sami area” on the church Council in 2015, was a historic event.”
Avskjedsgudstjeneste 11. June
the Bishop also directs in his avskjedsbrev a special thank you to all the staff in the church at Nidaros, as well as all the institutions and organizations he has had regard to in its work.
There are avskjedsgudstjeneste in the Nidaros cathedral, 11. June, 2017.
