– A kommunestyrevedtak can quickly put a stop to the work to get to an active Falkbergetsenter. It says the project manager for the falkberget’s House, Emma Bergebakken.
Røros municipal council adopted on Thursday night with 20 against 7 votes to postpone the case to set aside money to create a pre-project for the construction of a future library.
A team leave in June before plans for the falkberget’s House to be built in Røros town centre, adjacent to a new public library. She has had as a goal that a falkberget’s House will be finished about three years on the 140-year anniversary of Johan falkberget’s birthday.
– Now we have a longer way to go, and it may end with that we put down the foundation stone that day, says Bergebakken.
If the case of the municipal council should act if falkberget’s House, I wish that the municipal council had received a presentation on the advance. It is clear that Reidun Roland, who suggested to postpone the biblioteksaken, has not set itself into what the preliminary project has examined and proposed. And it is regrettable that the council deferred the matter to set aside money to create a pre-project for the construction of a future library, ” says Bergebakken:
In a note to Nea Radio type Bergebakken the following:
If the matter in the evening would be about falkberget’s House, I wish that the municipal council had received a presentation on the advance. It is apparent that Roland has not set itself into what the preliminary project for the falkberget’s House has discussed and proposed. Røros chairmanship was given a preliminary orientation before the report was presented, and we are waiting to get the drop with an orientation for the presidency, and the municipal councils. In addition to the report there is a report from the law firm that should be presented. We had been told that the Røros municipality wanted to put in the time again the story of the library before the politicians were given a thorough presentation of the preliminary project. Falkberget’s House is recorded to the municipality’s kulturplan, and after what we have understood the come up in the connection.
- 1. A falkberget’s House is not a home to the municipal house and it means that we do not have suggested some municipal investment. We have proposed a municipal operating subsidy of 4% that will be able to trigger the 57% funds from the county and state, based on how forfattersenter in the rest of the country is built up.
- 2. We have suggested a possible co-location with the library on the basis of Røros municipal council in its decision from 2013. And it may be sensible in many ways that the municipality rents land areas to public libraries, and we rent the space to a Falkbergetssenter in the same house. Both because we can streamline the operation of both hold, and get to a modern and active litteratursenter as Røros need. Maybe also some of the features or public areas in falkberget’s House do that the municipality is going better than they will do on their own.
- 3. We see that we have gone further in our planning than the municipality, and therefore welcome a process where the municipality plans its future library. at the same time we ask ourselves at their disposal to participate in the talks so that the plans are the best possible for all parties. And if the municipality wants to build a library instead of rent that the municipality is doing today, it is of course up to the municipality. It is the municipality who shall decide regarding the library and not we.
- 4. Without the municipality’s support, there is no falkberget’s House, and when must the municipality carry all the expenses of a public library completely alone. A library which becomes less extensive and attractive than with a co-location.
It is now we have the momentum to get big contributions from mainstream society and private sponsors and foundations to realize a falkberget’s House in Røros. A kommunestyrevedtak can quickly put a stop to the work to get to an active Falkbergetsenter. Have Røros as good advice that one can say no to such private initiative and thus the possibility of a major value creation? There are many rikspolitikere and good team mates who work for us to have realized a national Falkbergetsenter in Røros. What we ask is that the politicians in Røros sit down and listen with an open mind, so that they do not inadvertently say no to something that is terrific both for the businesses, the people who live here and all visitors, tourists and school classes.
We will be more than happy to all the parties and presents plans.
