It is thanks to money from the businessman Trond Mohn and the Research Wiki can begin.
– We are very grateful that Trond Mohn turn contributes to groundbreaking research at UiT. That today we were also awarded a major national research project to look at the war in Norway in an international perspective, the Wiki is a heavyweight in research on World War II, says Rector Anne Homes Stream.
The project will elucidate further war in the north and the crucial role northern front had the outcome of the war in Europe.
the plan is that the story of the war in northern Norway to be published in book form in five years.
Total get the project about 40 million, of which nearly 20 million are awarded the Research Council of the Ministry of Education in connection with war professorship that the government has created.
