April Fool went perfectly wrong – ITavisen.no

The company was forced to withdraw it.

1. April is the day it is free to recordings known and beloved an ever so small plaster and it is evident that companies throws himself with the trend.

Failed completely
> Google had enough good and humorous plans with his “mic drop” -aprilspøk, but the outcome was something completely different.

In Gmail replaced Google “Send + archives” button with a “send and mic drop” -button. E-mails sent via this button containing a GIF animation of a minion, known from “Despicable Me” movie, as arrogant release a microphone and leaving the podium.

Was removed
Unfortunately for Google, it was not all recipients who found this amusing. Multiple users should have complained to Google and one of them also claim to have lost his job by sending minions by accident.

The company’s April Fools lasted only 12 hours before they saw themselves forced to remove it. In a blog post writes the following:

“Well, it looks like we wondered ourselves this year. Due to an error, led McDrop function more headaches than laughter. “
