The project cost over 400 000.
A 42 year old man from Hong Kong has fulfilled his childhood dream of building their own humanoid robot.
Mark 1
man who named Ricky Ma, has been obsessed with animation and robots since he was a child. Ma said to have spent over 400 000 of his own money to build the robot which he calls for “Mark 1″
It’s a secret
Although the 42-year old designer will not say who he has modeled the robot is little doubt that it is actress Scarlett Johansson who is the inspiration here.
Over 70 percent 3D print
the robot is made of 3D printed parts and skin made of silicone and can show facial expressions like smiling and winking. It can also move your arms and legs, but could not get off the machine.
Self-taught
Ma says he is self taught in programming and construction of robots and that there have been many challenges along the way. Both of friends and family, he has been told that the project was pure madness.
Although he says he is happy with the end result and that it was worth all the money and toil.
