Rubio was somewhat more cautious in the criticism, calling it a “difficult question”, but believes that the technology industry must cooperate with the authorities.

– I hope Apple will accept the right decision voluntarily, he said during a campaign event in Mount Pleasant in South Carolina.

– Protects terrorist

Several Republican senators threw himself also on the wave of criticized the iPhone developer. Among them was the leader of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Richard Burr, and Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton.

– Apple has chosen to protect a dead IS terrorists privacy rather than to safeguard the American people. Unfortunately, Tim Cook and Apple’s attitude proved that they are not willing to compromise, and that a new legislation thus is the only way to solve this problem, said Cotton.

– For risky

Apple boss Tim Cook said Tuesday night that it has developed a new software if Apple will assist the FBI with hacking Farook phone. This would be too risky, he said.

– In the wrong hands will such software have the potential to unlock any iPhone. The government may argue that its use will be limited to this one case, but it is impossible to guarantee such control, said Cook.

The US Justice Department maintains that it only has asked Apple about to hack one phone.

– It is unfortunate that Apple still refuses to assist the Ministry to access the phone to one of the terrorists who were involved in a major terrorist attack on US soil, the ministry states.

Support & exchange lift

Apple has posted an open letter on his website, where the company explains its customers why it is important that the FBI can not break into the phone.

the company receives wide support from researchers, university staff and colleagues from the industry to resist the authorities. Among other things, Google top Sundar Pichai endorse Cooks statements.

– We build safe products that make people’s information safe, and we give the government access to data based on valid court orders. But it is something completely different than asking companies to hack customers’ equipment and data, writes Pichai Twitter.
