Support for Windows 10 apps coming shortly.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has confirmed that Windows 10 apps coming soon to Xbox One.
Windows everywhere
This is an important step spreading Windows, and app ecosystem, from the desktop to the living room and mobile. We look forward to seeing how the apps work on the console, and potentially how much better they are than those already available.
The console was updated to Windows 10 kernel late last year, so it’s just apps we are waiting for now, really.
Mouse support en route
It is not known how the store and apps to be implemented – perhaps moved Windows 10′s app store across entirely clean interface-wise? It will also be interesting to see how apps are available for Windows 10 takes off on Xbox One, and if all is supported by the console.
Microsoft has indeed confirmed that mouse and keyboard support is underway (Windows Central ) Xbox One. It would then imply that the machine will be able to run far more advanced apps.
