The rumor from yesterday proved to be true, because now 9to5Google gained access to documents certifying that large updates Chromecast is just around the corner.
Faster WiFi
Other Generation Chromecast departs pinneutseendet and now looks quite different. It was hard to tell from the pictures, but it is clear that the design is changed.
New Chromecast will support WiFi 802.11ac and has a new feature called “Fast Play”. This feature will ensure that the device achieves connection with Chromecast faster and more seamless.
Chrome Cast Audio
Google also plans to launch new calls “Chromecast Audio” that will could be connected to any speaker with 3.5 mm audio jack to play your music wirelessly.
According 9to5Google Google will announce new Chromecast and Chromecast Audio under corporate event on September 29th.
The Google-focused website also reports Spotify support going Chromecast later this year.
