Man has long believed that the App store would remain a safe place where you would not experience getting virus or other malicious software, but now the era to be over.
Sun was discovered a Trojan horse or a malicious program called XcodeGhost, who have come into the popular service and damaged hundreds of Apps.
It is in China that the malicious program has spread, and it is therefore up to now only Chinese apps that have been infected by the malicious program, writes L’Express.
There are large Chinese services WeChat, musikkstreeming service NetEase, telecom operator China Unicom and a railway company billettsalgsapp 12306 which has been hardest hit.
It’s mobile security provider Aliba Mibile Security who first raised the alarm about the virus, according to L’Express.
Virus toolbox
What has happened is simply that those who develop the various apps have downloaded a program to create apps to App store. The developers of the infected apps downloaded a rogue program, ie XcodeGhost instead of Xcode and developed their apps out of this program. That way the virus has joined into apps and into the App store.
The developers have therefore used a program that was not from Apple when they were developing their apps, but one that was made by a forger.

A fake version of one of these tools was uploaded by an uncertain source, which may compromise the security of user applications that have been made using this counterfeit software. According to Palo Alto Networks, this is the first time such a hacker attack happened iOS, system all Apple products use, and which has 15% of the market for smartphones in China.
