Android app taking photos in hiding and demand ransom from the user – ITavisen.no

Stay away from Adult Player.

In the past, ransomware become a common problem on the PC, and until now have mobile phones been left alone.

Extortion
Now there appeared an app, “Adult Player” that in no way is the one it claims to be, an app that shows pornography. However takes the images of the user but it knows about it and demand a ransom to unlock the phone.

Appen threatens including user to share the photos and other personal information, as well as deletion of all data if the user does not pay the 500 dollars (about 4,000 million) as blackmailer demands.

Driving a reboot of the phone does not help, then the app and extortion start automatically on startup.

Have you been unfortunate enough to install the app by mistake, you can remove it as follows:

* Start unit in safe mode .
* To uninstall the app you need to remove administrator rights. Go to Settings – security and device administrator.
* Once that is done you can go to Settings – apps and uninstall Adult Player.
