Google’s new taleassistent, simply called Google Assistant, will not be available for regular Android users. Instead of locking it up as a new feature in Android 7.1, as many had hoped, confirms Google facing website Tech Crunch that Google Assistant is an exclusive feature for those who purchase their new mobile, Pixel.
Google Assistant is only one of the many features that Google stock exclusively for their new phone.

At Android Authority you can see the entire list of changes that will happen in the Android 7.1, and which of them that is exclusive for the Google Pixel, but here is a little snippet:
- Pixel Launcher allows you to swipe up for all apps, new search box, and date/weather
- Google Assistant
- Infinite storage space for the original images/video on the Google Photos
- Smartlagring – when you do not have the more storage space it will automatically remove old photos and movies that are backed up
- 24/7 phone and instant messaging support
- Pro-features in the camera: white Balance presets, exposure compensation, AE/AF lock, grid view ++

Fortunately, are not all features locked to the Pixel-phones, and all who download Android 7.1 receive the following upgrades:
- Night Light (to reduce the blue light)
- Better monitor/berøringsytelse
- Moves (sveipemodus from fingersensoren)
- Daydream VR-mode
- Manual control over the app storage
Android 7.1 is sent out to developers later in October, but we do not know exactly when the official launch will be.
We have not received any concrete release date for the Google Pixel in Norway.
