Asks for further investigation of land-slide on the Svalbard – Adresseavisen

the Case is updated.

the Purpose of the further investigation is to clarify whether a punishable relationship has taken place, and who in this case is responsible, called it in a press release from the attorney general.

In a case like this, where a natural disaster has claimed two lives and caused great material damage, and where a whole community is affected, there is obviously reason to investigate with the purpose to clarify the reason, so the Governor has done, writes the director of public prosecutions.

the attorney general finds, however, that in this case also is reasonable cause to make further investigations, with the purpose to clarify whether there is a punishable conditions to be pursued by the government. The complaint from two of the survivors of the statsadvokatens decision on dismissal is taken, therefore, to follow it further.

the attorney general underlines that the decision does not mean that there has been found concrete evidence that someone has committed something punishable conditions. The goal of the further investigation is to bring clarity in this question.
