[broom.no] Toyota Hilux is known as a very robust and reliable car with good accessibility.
It is therefore not quite surprising that the police have also cast a glance at this car. Yes, more than that – Police common services (PFT) on behalf of the Norwegian Police Service decided to go to the procurement of Toyota Hilux, in uniformed editions.
The model in question is the Hilux Double Cab 2, 5D with manual transmission. The vehicles will be after what we experience comes as both cars with five seats and two seater vans, as required.
Police cars are usually delivered with some equipment. So too with the new Hilux. It is Simarud Electronic AS that has been entrusted in this case.
They have partly equipped cars for both fire departments, Public Roads Administration and other agencies in many, many years.
The new Hilux is fitted with fiberglass chapel of truckload. This can be fitted to suit individual needs, with such pedestals for tools and other equipment, portable winch and power supply, to name a few. While there is still ample room to transport other items and equipment.
There is little doubt that this is a police, but it will also be delivered in civilian edition. (Photo: Simarud Electronic AS / ANB)
– For now it delivered cars to Eastern and Western Finnmark, but just last week came the order on the same type of car to Haugaland and Sunnhordaland Police. It says Espen Olsen as information and PR manager at Toyota Norway.
-Car will also be delivered in civil variants. Our experience is that the police now want grittier cars. We have over the years delivered several types Toyota police and sheriff agencies – also called cell cars of Hiace, concludes Olsen.
The cars are of course equipped with the latest in communications and communications equipment.
After all, what real police without blue lights and sirens. It is of course also in place on the new Hilux.
Besides the familiar roof rack is blue lights recessed into both the front bumper and taillights above. (ANB)
