An Australian blogger and writer who became famous by telling about how she battled brain cancer through organic food and alternative therapies, has now admitted that she lied about the disease.
Two years ago launched Belle Gibson ( 23) blockbuster The Whole Pantry, billed as the world’s first online community for health, wellness and lifestyle. The starting point was that she should have fought cancer on their own, but now the big lie collapsed.
– Lifelong match
– No. None of that is true, admits Gibson in an interview with the Australian Women’s Weekly, under the title “My lifelong struggle with the truth.”
The sale of the cookbook The Whole Pantry was stopped last month after Australian media began suspicious. The book was supposed to be released in the US and UK shortly.
Thus it is not, however.
hate mail and death threats
– I think speaking out is the responsible thing to do. Above all, I want people to say ‘OK, she is human, “says Gibson.
She should have received more hate mail and death threats since the media started speculating lie her. It all began to unravel when it became known that she had donated 300,000 Australian dollars (1.84 million) of the profits from book sales, so she had promised.
In the interview with AWW gives Gibson no explanation why she started lying, other than that she had a difficult childhood.
