Silicon Valley (ITavisen We believe this about Microsoft’s outrageous technology.

Silicon Valley (ITavisen:) As one of the very first in the world has ITavisen pleased to present the first sneak peek into Microsoft’s high-tech vision of the future. Meet HoloLens.
Stringent security
The first small group of technology journalists learned before demo session was that no cameras were allowed.
In fact neither cameras, mobiles, tablets, watches or any other gadgets allowed to carry at all (probably never have a group of eight technology journalists ever been so long without a mobile in hand), so we were equipped with notebook and pen.
Everything was locked in a closet at the hotel where Microsoft representatives were massed. There was a lot of security around it all – no wonder, this is the first time developers and the press has been allowed to test.
You can read more about the technology inside the glasses on Microsoft Lumia Blog (strangely; Becomes this is a Lumia product?)
Skype and Minecraft
The first session was just a demo. We were brought into a small building set up for the occasion within the hotel to get a Skype demonstration.
A person wore HoloLens, another person sitting in another room with a Windows 10 machine . On a large screen over Microsoft HoloLens-elect, we see exactly the same as glasses conjure up, adding the real world.
With HoloLens glasses can move video call window around like a hologram in real time without the image disappears, and place it for example on a table in mock living room which was the site of the demo.
It was also demonstrated how to work with 3D objects HoloLens-person drag and drop around with elegant movements. Both draw on the virtual objects and presenting them to another without waiting.

Smart enough to recognize our world
HoloLens knows what is physical objects, therefore yesterday nor 3D holography objects through them too, but fine on them.
Had he practiced long on this, or is HoloLens as precise as it looks like?
We could not wait to test himself. Fortunately lasted this demo only around five minutes. The last part was devoted a short Minecraft demo – they had created a miniature version of Eifelltårnet in holography glasses and Microsoft’s husband could then move Paris pride around the living room and manipulate the height of the building.
Should we finally get to test yourself? Yes, but not the same place. Again we were escorted to another part of the hotel and once again we were asked to lock in sacks and our equipment.
After the measured The interpupillary distance our (ours is 60.5 – maybe useful for Oculus?), it was finally our turn.
Finally it was our turn
Each of us were escorted into a separate room. Once inside we meet two Microsoft representatives. One of them supplied, while another guides us through our first encounter with holography glasses.
To be the first device they show up, take HoloLens themselves as good in reality as in the pictures. They attached perfectly to our head with a small wheel at the back you turn around until it feels comfortable and comfortable, these wearing.
They both looks and feels much better than Ouclus Rift. Based design and construction quality could these nice having posed in Microsoft stores today.

This got test
The first thing that strikes us when Microsoft logo lights up before our eyes is that the image does not fill the screen, but about 60 percent of the (HoloLens have no problems with glasses, just slide them back and forth), but everything flowing in well over 60 fps.
The graphics and antialiasing options are good – HoloLens presents a far prettier picture than what Oculus Rift is able – without comparison in general.
We were asked to take control of a Windows 10 machine and move the mouse from the computer monitor, and over the holographic building that appears when we moved our head in the right direction in space.
The mouse pointer broke loose from prison Their onscreen and over to holograf world of our hero without further ado. A magical feeling.
Back at the PC screen we use a totally traditional mouse to increase the height of a building, and presto: The same building becomes greater when we look to the left with glasses. The advantage is that you can work on your PC with glasses on, not to mention see people next to you.
Plumbing job
In the second part of mini demo (all in all we got to try in about 7-8 minutes) we were ushered to the other side of the hotel room where they had set up a pseudo-brick wall. With HoloLens we can see through it.
Our little mission was to look around with HoloLens to find a pipe. We find the tube, which is supposed to be removed.
When we look directly at the tube lights up blue. By performing a pinch-motion with thumb and index finger a half meter from the chest pops up a recording function that allows us to record our own voice: – Remove pipe.
It is useful that it has built-in speaker. For such tasks need not a HiFi headset.
We did not need to practice to get into this, but we were unfortunately not able to pinch and pull holography-Objects, and fling them around. We have a feeling that this also feels just as natural for all demo-one we’ve seen, and what we experienced. We missed never gestures. It felt rock solid.

An exciting start
And that was it. A very short demo that felt the script. Not script in the sense that it was cheating, we used real glasses and gestures in the air, but demonstrations are designed to the fingertips so that everything works smoothly for someone who has never tested them before.
There are enough very little content of these yet, and it will take a long time to program all together.
We were not blown away as raw as when we tested Oculus Rift for the first time (grenades and explosions will always be more exciting than playing plumber and architect), but this is impressive, there is no doubt about that.
The question is only when you can shop HoloLens in store.
