- This borrower “Android N” from iOS – ITavisen.no

Test edition was released yesterday.

Although a minority of Android users have been upgraded to the latest version of the operating system, 6.0 Marshmallow does not prevent Google to release a test version of the upcoming release codenamed “N”.

Shared app view
the Apple-focused since 9to5Mac have checked out the test version and found several examples of iOS features that Google has “borrowed” in Android N.

first and foremost, they point to the new side-by-side view, so-called split view, that resembles feature introduced in iOS 9. Note that Windows did this already in 2012, in addition there are several Android devices already have this feature built in.

Quick Reply
another thing the highlights is Android Ns picture in picture function, which was also introduced in iOS 9. This works in initially only on Android TV, not on tablets and smartphones.

in Android N can now also respond to notifications directly from the notification bar, similar Apple’s rapid response that was introduced in iOS 8.

Night mode
Last but not least draw 9to5Mac forward the new night mode in Android N. This mode was tested in Android 6.0, but was never in the finished version. Currently, the beta testers of iOS 9.3 check out the night mode for iPad and iPhone.

The difference between Android N- and iOS version is that the former is called “dark mode” and put in a dark layer at the interface, while iOS version works more like f.lux and reduces the blue light from the screen.
