– A man in 60s was Friday morning found dead outside next to his own residence. Since this has happened there, and we do not yet know the cause of death, we have started investigating the case. We keep all options open, informs regional sheriff for North Troms, Øistein Nilsen told NRK.
Furuflaten is half mil south of Lyngseidet Lyngen municipality in North Troms, 11 mil east of Tromso.
– the man was found by people from the same village. There is little relationship, and we know all of the people who live here.
– It is stated that the deceased had been visiting another person Thursday night. Have the police talked to him?
– Investigators have talked with this man, but what he has explained, I am not familiar with, says Nilsen.
The deceased is transported Tromso where he will be autopsied. Nilsen does not know whether there is external damage to the deceased.
