Lundin drilled dry Fosen prospect in license 544.

The well was drilled about 10 kilometers southwest of Luno II , in the central North Sea.

– the well encountered about 160 meters of water bearing sandstones in the upper Jurassic to middle Triassic, of which over 90 meters with good reservoir quality mainly in the Sleipner formation in the middle Jurassic. In addition, the well encountered 75 meters of reservoir rocks with very good reservoir quality in the Ty formation in Paleocene, NPD reports.

There are traces of petroleum in the Sleipner formation. The well is classified as dry.

Well 16 / 4-10 was drilled to a vertical depth of 2638 meters below the sea surface and was terminated in the Smith Bank formation in the Lower Triassic. The water depth is 95 meters. The well will now be permanently plugged and abandoned.
