Serious errors in iOS 9.3 – Tek.no

Monday last week, Apple released version 9.3 of iOS, the operating system used on the iPhone and iPad. It did not take long for users of older iPhones and iPads began to report that they no longer had access to their devices, because of problems getting enabled device after the update. Apple therefore pushed back the update for these devices.

The problems for Apple, however, appears to would end soon.

Over the past few days a number of users among Others in Apple’s support forums reported serious problems with Safari browser, according to Forbes.com.



Links get the phone to crash

The problems are related to links, and many users find that Safari locks up when you press a link in the browser. It should apply both when pressed once, and when you long press on a link to bring up the option to open the link in a new tab.

Some users report that issues only Safari, but many also reports that the same problems emerging in both Google Chrome and other apps. This also applies if you press links from other apps – like the Mail app or SMS app.

According to the website 9to5Mac, the problems caused by third-party applications installed on your phone or iPad. The site has in fact tried to take an iPhone 6 and iPad Pro that were not initially affected by the problem, and then install the app Booking.com. After this application was installed, began Safari to crash every time you print long for a link.



New update will fix some of the problems

Forbes reports now that Apple has issued a update of iOS 9.3 for those who are affected by problems with activation. It is uncertain whether this also fixes Safari problems.

The update still has the version number 9.3, but build number 13E5237.

Apple is aware of the Safari problems. According Mashable.com has a user taken screenshot of a conversation with Apple Support, where a call center confirms that Apple is aware of the error and are working to find a solution.
