New, hasty Facebook virus detected – Oppland Arbeiderblad

A new hasty viruses are starting to spread like wildfire on Facebook.

The virus has already spread among a number of Swedish Facebook users, according to the Swedish technology website M3. It is Fredriksstad sheet that writes this.

Are you affected by the virus, spread it on to everyone on your friends list. According to the website sends the hackers behind the virus out messages on behalf of those already on your friends list. The virus comes in the form of one of your friends on Facebook writes “embarrasing” followed by a link. Clicking on the link will take you to a page that looks like Facebook, but it seems as if you have logged out, and thus need to login again.

Are you logging into the website, you automatically credentials hackers, and they gain access to your real Facebook account. Similarly virus has ravaged on Facebook earlier too, but this time comes the virus in your own language.

Suffers you of the virus you should change your password as soon as possible. You should also check all applications to ensure that there is added something new that you do not recognize.

It is not yet known how far the virus has spread, and whether Norwegian users are affected.

Facebook encourages its users to be careful with their login information. In an email to the Swedish newspaper Expressen, gives the three afford to Facebook users in Sweden:

  • Do not click on suspicious links, especially not where it advertised with unrealistic prices or goods.
  • Never share personal login information to email or Facbook account other websites.
  • Do not use the same password on multiple sites. Sometimes so-called spam pages using the password to create an account with them. These pages exploits that many use the same password on many different pages.
