Security Company Perception Point has unveiled a very serious security flaws in the Linux kernel, which according to the company including frames 66 percent of all Android devices on the market.

In practice, we are talking about all the latest Android phones sold since the beginning / middle of 2013, beginning with those phones with Android KitKat. Thus also lollipops and Marshmallow affected.

About the security hole exploited, putting it into practice door wide open for malicious apps. It is not yet known that the error has actually been exploited in secret.

We are now working feverishly to create an update that can be rolled out.

May be impossible to fix for many

The special feature of this error is that it be at the core of the Linux operating system, which is used in everything from servers, PCs, mobile phones and various “embedded” / smart products.

To roll out fixes for servers and computers is a relatively easy task, but in very many mobile phones and smart devices this is a comprehensive or impossible task.

It is therefore expected that the error will ensure that many users will be vulnerable in several months and potentially years, if error at all can be directed to your existing widgets.

It may thus be useful to be extra cautious ahead of downloading “assorted” apps on the phone.
