Valve has announced Dota 2: Reborn – ITavisen.no

– New interface. New engine. New ways to play, says Valve.

There have been rumors for months, but now it is finally confirmed by Valve itself; Dota 2 will now be even better, and the new client will be named Dota 2: Reborn.

company will refurbish up large parts of the game, and they start with the engine. They say even the engine is new, but gives no further details about it.

However, it is likely that they will use Source 2, the successor to the engine that was first introduced in Half-Life 2.

The update to the game is expected to provide better performance over the board.

Easier for new players
In addition to upgrades under the hood, there are also a number of upcoming changes as regards the interface part of the game.

The changes will include making it easier to find friends communicate between games, watch other players and organized tournaments.

There are also added new learning tools that will make it easier to learn the game. One gets the opportunity to learn by playing against bots.

Valve release more information about Dota 2 next week, then also a beta version of the new game will be available.
