We were very curious and excited when Oculus VR yesterday announced that they have partnered with Microsoft xbox one-hand controller, and the selected Xbox One games get Oculus support.
Disappointing demo
Disappointment spread therefore quite quickly when we saw the clip below, for it is the only Microsoft plan to do with the Xbox One and Oculus, it might just as well not to?
In the clip below, we see a Oculus tests drive in Forza Xbox One, but instead to look through the driver’s eyes, one is instead planted in a home theater room.
Teit
But what is the point of it? , Turn the head one sees a blank wall, and not your rival in the game trying to knock you out of the way or run past you.
So it is perhaps not surprising that there is deafening silence, and not applause that greeted Xbox boss Phil Spencer when the clip was finished.
DirectX 12 in place
Oculus get in addition to Forza, Sunset Overdrive and Halo Support to name a few major titles. Games streamed to Rift via Windows 10.
The headset is supposed to work seamlessly with the new OS-a, and DirectX 12 support is in place.
