Taylor Swift wrote letters to Apple, and won her case. – Aftenposten

Countrypopstjernen Taylor Swift, and probably a leash by US lawyers, have pushed Apple Music a big change, one just over a week before the launch of the new music service .

Would not pay

30. June launches its giant Apple Music, which will inter alia contain a flow service similar to Spotify and Tidal.

Apple Music comes with a three month trial period, which is free for users. For this free period, Apple had envisioned that artists and record companies should not get paid royalties.

But after Taylor Swift weekend wrote an open letter to Apple, telling her that this was why her past album 1989 would not be available in the service, turned the company.

“We do not ask you for free iPhones. Please do not ask us two provideh you with our music for no compensation, “wrote Taylor Swift among others.

Now get artists paid anyway.

Called Swift itself

“# Apple Music will pay artist for streaming, even humming customer’s free trial period,” wrote Vice President Eddy Cue even Twitter weekend.

According to Billboard shall Cue have dialed Taylor Swift on tour Amsterdam and said that it was her letter that made him and the company to change the meaning and the free trial period.

– When I woke up this morning and saw what Taylor had written, decided that we needed a change . Therefore, we have decided that we will pay artists even during rehearsals, said Eddy Cue to Billboard.

world’s best-selling artist

Several artists and record companies have expressed the same resistance against Apple Music in a few weeks now, but it was thus only when the world’s best-selling pop star Taylor Swift came on, the company responded.

She will be very happy for the change, but about 1989 now actually will be available in Apple Music from June 30, remains to be seen. It’s not in either Spotify or Tidal pr. now.
