Not explosive – suitcase outside the synagogue was empty – Dagbladet.no

LATEST: The suitcase was found outside the Jewish synagogue in Bergstien in Oslo, was empty, according to police at 11 o’clock. Barricades in the streets against the synagogue maintained, while other barriers lifted.

(Dagbladet): Police in Oslo says on Twitter that they are heading to Bergstien in Oslo to check out one allowed suitcase.

They have cordoned off an area at the synagogue in Bergstien, where the suitcase was found.

Also bomb group on site and has started its investigations.

– The suitcase is located close to the synagogue in Bergstien, and police have cordoned off an area around the synagogue in anticipation of that bomb group will examine it closer, said operations manager Vidar Pedersen Oslo police NTB at 08 o’clock.

On Twitter printer police that there may be traffic problems in the area.

police have seen surveillance photos from the site. They show that the suitcase was left at 04 o’clock in the night.

Also in March last year jerked bomb group out of the synagogue. At that time, a man was seen running out of the building opposite the synagogue.

The man was carrying an object that he put down behind the synagogue. Object proved to be a bag without dangerous content. In September 2006, the synagogue was shot at, and posted guards in the area were then amplified
