Which brought the Norwegians gif Reddit-front – ITavisen.no

Nearly five million impressions – Norwegian entrepreneurs taking off in the United States.

11. August, we interviewed a number of top students on a visit to Silicon Valley to learn how to start entrepreneurial business.

Ended Reddit-front
We took Speak with Magi Nations Tobias Linkjendal.

ITavisen : – How long have you been working on the project?

Tobias: – For a little over three years since we began to play with the first coin magnets.

ITavisen: – When marked you that it started and take off with impressions?

Tobias: – We were very happy when the first person on Reddit shared the first gif a spring on a sub-Reddit. It ended with that we got 20 comments. We were not particularly familiar with the post on Reddit, but we heard that we could get some good feedback if we leave it out there, so we tried us. After we leave out the gif-en we made a new site to view more cool Magi Nation features. Even then, the first animation picture divided in several other places, so we let out the new well. The same thing happened, some split clip, and thence escalated far above our expectations, reveals Tobias.

– At one time, actually both gif-one on Reddit-face, to each other. People who viewed this thought we had paid at least $ 3,000 to be sponsored. Even more comical was when we to explain a user that Reddit boss not had shares of Magi Nation, but otherwise has been good feel .

Magi Nation now has its own Reddit corner.

See gif-one that takes on Reddit.

ITavisen: – Why do you think exactly this went viral?

Tobias: – First and foremost: magnetism. There are not many who have seen something that Magi Nation before then it is not possible to play the same way with ordinary neodymium magnets coin without of they destroy each other. Having looked through thousands of comments, there are things going again. It is pleasant to look at. One gif-en fastened in a stack and there is no disturbing outside the colors are mixed (which some also complained). People also appreciated the quick reversal back to the start, which gave a nice loop.

Because it is “slow motion” and relatively poor image quality, there were many who came with theories that it was CGI. There has been a lot of weird suggestions, which have been riddled with arguments. Discussions are popular on the Internet, and there are many who have a lot to say. People wrote everywhere: on Twitter, Facebook and other forums. Now we have no control over how gif’s are longer. We see it as positive that we have not mentioned the Magi Nation in these gif-one, as it very clearly had been advertising, and it was not baked appeal at all. This has meant that many are wondering what this is. We have not done anything to get people to do this, it just happened by itself. We’re obviously active in the different programs we find, and there are many people appreciate.

ITavisen: – Have investors and / or multiple stores contacted by all attention?

Tobias: – Yes, but not as many. It is most people around the world who contact and want Magi Nation, but we must apologize and ask them to register on the website so that they will be notified when we launch Magi Nation on Kickstarter November 19th.

Set of millions
Fast forward a few months and one of the founding members we interviewed, Juul Arthur Ribe Rudihagen, have success with Magi Nation.

“At the moment I like namely to create a board game platform (magination.no) along with two others: Hanna Agersborg Aanjesen and Tobias Linkjendal.

We’ve come pretty far, for a company has already purchased a batch of product. Next month we will be using Kickstarter to get product into the stores, told Rudihagen to us in late summer.

Taking on Imgur
Magi Nation is a magnet system that lets players Make a bunch of your own games. After the company uploaded some short gif is of what is possible, took it off: one gif-one is namely seen nearly 5 million times on Imgur.

And create viral life around an entrepreneur business on this way is something everyone dreams of, and may be an important Kickstarter.
